What you will do
You will join the financial applications team of a Belgian energy network operator, working on SAP R/3 and S/4HANA systems. Your main responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain ABAP programmes on SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA systems
- Implement ABAP WebDynpro applications
- Work with the ABAP RESTful programming model (RAP)
- Integrate SAP Virtual Data Model (CDS views)
- Support SAP FI-CO modules
- Apply secure coding practices in ABAP
- Use ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) for quality control
- Implement ABAP Cloud Development model and extensibility tiers
- Work according to Agile development methodologies
What we are looking for
Essential requirements:
- At least 5 years of proven experience developing ABAP-based applications
- At least 5 years of experience with SAP FI-CO
- Proven experience with SAP R/3
- Experience with ABAP WebDynpro
- At least 6 months of demonstrable experience with the ABAP RESTful programming model (RAP) within the past 2 years
- At least 6 months of demonstrable experience with SAP Virtual Data Model (CDS - Core Data Services) within the past 2 years
- Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2)
Strong preference for:
- At least 3 years of experience with SAP CRM
- At least 1 year of experience with SAP SD
- Experience with secure coding in ABAP
- Knowledge and experience of Agile development methodologies
Nice to have:
- At least one assignment working with the ABAP Cloud Development model and extensibility tiers
The setting
This assignment runs from late November 2026 to late November 2027, with the possibility of extension.
The role is based in Melle, with hybrid working possible. The teleworking frequency will be determined in consultation with the team lead. Some flexibility is expected to occasionally travel to other locations or be on-site more frequently for specific activities.
You will work full-time in Dutch.
