After a few years in finance, you know the difference between managing a function on autopilot and actually running it, pushing it forward instead of just keeping it steady. You know what it means to sit in the room during an acquisition instead of hearing about it afterward. And you know the value of a seat where you bring the CEO a recommendation, not three options to choose from. What you have not had yet, is all three at once.

Our partner is a growing B2B SaaS company, founded over a decade ago by someone who had lived the exact problems the company now solves for its own customers. The culture is young and fast-moving, built on professionalism and continuous improvement rather than size, with multiple offices across Belgium. You are based in Brussels, with occasional travel to the company's offices in Flanders, and you report directly to the CEO, in constant collaboration on the company's financial and strategic direction.

Impact as their next CFO

• Building and scaling the finance function as the company grows, not maintaining one someone else already set up
• Business partnering with the CEO on financial and strategic decisions across the company
• Providing financial support throughout M&A processes, from analysis to integration
• Owning investor and board reporting that tells the real story not just the numbers
• Leading and coaching the finance team, using automation and finance technology to keep a team scalable

You bring recommendations and insights, not just a list of options.

Your profile as a CFO

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
• Maximum 15 years of experience in finance (preferably in a high-growth environment)
• Fluent in French and English, Dutch is a strong plus
• Experience in the SaaS or software industry is a strong plus

Offer

• Freelance (€600 to €700/day) or payroll
