Nexeo is currently looking for a Medior Back-End Java & Cloud Engineer to join one of Belgium’s leading energy companies.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain back-end applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
- Contribute to the development of cloud-based solutions and scalable architectures.
- Analyse technical and functional requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Integrate applications with SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, architects, front-end developers and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with Sales and Customer Operations teams to deliver business-oriented solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimization.
- Write clean, reusable and maintainable code following development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Contribute to automated testing and software quality.
- Support CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in back-end software development.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Good knowledge of REST APIs, Microservices and SQL.
- Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Good understanding of Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with enterprise application integration.
- Knowledge of SAP is a strong plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
