Insight Global are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Manager for a leading semiconductor technology and manufacturing organisation supporting advanced wafer processing and next-generation manufacturing operations.

This position requires onsite work in Leuven, Belgium, with a future transition to Malaga, Spain as part of the organisation’s long-term manufacturing growth strategy.

The Engineering Operations Manager will lead a multidisciplinary engineering organisation supporting advanced semiconductor fabrication operations. This role will be responsible for driving equipment performance, process reliability, manufacturing readiness, and operational excellence across multiple BEOL-focused technology areas while supporting the ramp-up of advanced manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities include leading engineering teams across Metrology, Lithography, Wafer Bonding, Wet Process, Deposition, Etch, and Process Integration disciplines, while driving improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, yield, cycle time, and overall fab performance. The successful candidate will oversee equipment and process engineering activities, support installation and commissioning of advanced 300mm manufacturing equipment, and partner closely with Manufacturing, Process Integration, R&D, Facilities, EHS, and external vendors to achieve technology development and production objectives.

Additional responsibilities include leading root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives, managing engineering goals and resource planning, supporting fab expansion and manufacturing readiness strategies, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Requirements Include:

  • Strong semiconductor manufacturing experience within a production fab environment.
  • Leadership experience managing engineering teams within one or more of the following areas:
  • Lithography
  • Metrology
  • Wafer Bonding
  • Deposition
  • Etch
  • Wet Processing
  • Expertise supporting BEOL (Back-End-of-Line) semiconductor process technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment ownership and process ownership.
  • Experience leading tool installation, qualification, commissioning, and fab startup activities.
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence through improvements in equipment reliability, manufacturing performance, yield, and productivity.
  • Experience collaborating across Manufacturing, R&D, Process Integration, Facilities, EHS, and external equipment suppliers.

Plusses Include:

  • Experience in advanced packaging or heterogeneous integration technologies.
  • Exposure to leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes.
