The Construction Security Expert will be responsible for ensuring the security of construction sites and building works at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must:
- possess a university degree in security management, project/programme management, engineering, construction management, facilities management, risk management, or another relevant field;
- have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in construction security, physical security, security coordination/operations, or programme/project support in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, preferably involving construction or infrastructure projects;
- have strong coordination and organizational skills
- possess excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to draft clear and concise reports; and
- possess the following minimum levels in the official languages of NATO (English/ French): V (‘Advanced’) in one and II (‘Elementary’) in the other.
The following would be considered an advantage:
- extensive experience in drafting and implementing construction security plans;
- knowledge of information security principles, including need-to-know, access restrictions and the protection of sensitive or classified construction-related documentation; and
- familiarity with physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and perimeter protection.
