  • Monitor and analyze the liquidity position within the Asset Liability Management (ALM) framework.
  • Evaluating the impact of business developments, market trends, and stress scenarios on liquidity risk.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and further developing liquidity reports for management, ALCO, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Actively contributing to ILAAP, Recovery Planning, and other regulatory processes related to liquidity risk management.
  • Coordinating information requests, inspections, and resolution exercises in collaboration with regulators and resolution authorities.
  • Formulate recommendations regarding liquidity buffers, funding strategies, stress tests, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Participate in projects and improvement initiatives within ALM and liquidity risk management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for colleagues in Finance, Risk, and other relevant departments.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on liquidity and funding issues.
  • Contribute to the organization’s financial resilience, stability, and sustainability.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a master’s degree or has gained equivalent experience.
  • Has extensive knowledge of ALM, with a specific focus on managing liquidity risk within the financial sector.
  • Is familiar with applicable regulations such as ILAAP, recovery planning, and resolution requirements.
  • Has an understanding of liquidity ratios, stress tests, and financing issues.
  • Has experience interacting with regulatory authorities, which is a plus.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, complemented by a critical and advisory approach.
  • Speaks excellent Dutch and, preferably, very good French.
  • A freelance assignment lasting at least a few months, with the possibility of extension
