The Role
You will work as part of a development team,contributing your backendexpertise to buildand run the services behind our solutions.
Our solutions run mainly on Azure, deployedthrough Azure DevOpspipelines. Our currentstack is Java and Spring Boot. AI-assisted development is part of how we work. We value demonstrated experience over familiarity with the concepts.
What You'llDo
- Design and build backendservices and APIs.
- Integrate with other systems through well-defined contracts.
- Design and evolve the data model for each solution.
- Refine requirements with the Product Owner and functional experts, and assess technical feasibility.
- Apply software engineering best practices: clean code, automated testing, continuous integration and deployment.
- Run your services in production: monitoring, alerting, incident response.
- Take part in design and code reviews.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years building production backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of software design and enterprise integration patterns, and the judgement to pick the right one or keep it simple.
- Experience with several architectural styles, for examplehexagonal, modular monolith, microservices, event-driven.
- Data modelling and databasedesign skills. PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Solid delivery practice: automated testing, quality gates,DevSecOps.
- Experience in SAFe/Agile teams.
- A proactive mindset to review requirements, challenge assumptions when necessary, and raise concerns regarding feasibility or clarity.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, including handling the problems it introduces.
Nice to have:
event-driven systems (Kafka, ServiceBus), Cosmos DB, performance testing.
