Orbis have partnered with a Brussels-based startup that builds a software platform helping companies manage employee mobility, commuting benefits and fleet-related services.
They are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a high-priority project focused on their fleet management product. The platform manages leasing contracts, vehicle changes, mileage allowances and other fleet-related workflows, with a significant customer rollout planned over the coming months.
You would be joining an existing production environment, taking ownership quickly and working across both new feature development and ongoing bug fixing/support.
Technical requirements:
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js
- Experience with Fastify is highly desirable
- Strong experience building and maintaining production APIs/backend services
- Comfortable joining an existing codebase and becoming productive quickly
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools is beneficial
Details:
- Rate: circa €500/day - flex for the right candidate
- Location: Brussels/Hybrid - ideally onsite around 1 day/week
- Contract: Initial 3 months, with strong potential to extend
