United Fund for Belgium brings corporate generosity closer to local needs.
Founded in 1972, UFB is a philanthropic organisation that connects companies and individual donors with local non‑profit associations throughout Belgium.
Its mission is practical and deeply human: supporting concrete projects that promote social inclusion, particularly in child welfare, poverty alleviation and support for people with disabilities. UFB redistributes 100% of donations to local associations.
With strong governance and an established track record, UFB is a trusted partner for companies seeking to translate their CSR commitments into tangible local impact. Its work allows corporate partners to support the social dimension of their ESG strategies and contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
As corporate philanthropy evolves, UFB is exploring ways to adapt its operating model and dedicate more resources to fundraising. The Corporate Fundraising Director will play a central role in this next chapter.
What if your next partnership could help change someone’s life?United Fund for Belgium (UFB) is looking for a Corporate Fundraising Director who enjoys opening doors, bringing people together and building impactful partnerships that turn corporate commitment into concrete social change.
In this part‑time remote role (50%), you will connect companies and donors with concrete social projects across Belgium. Combining business development with a meaningful mission, you will also help shape the next chapter of an organisation with more than 50 years of experience.
You will take ownership of UFB’s fundraising activities, with corporate partnerships as your main focus, complemented by individual donors and fundraising events. By understanding companies’ CSR priorities and the social dimension of their ESG strategies, you will identify opportunities to connect their ambitions with the local projects UFB supports.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will pursue a clear ambition: grow annual fundraising from €500,000 to €1 million by 2029. From the first conversation to a renewed commitment, you will build relationships that bring lasting value to donors and the associations UFB supports.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing new funding opportunities. Identify and approach prospective corporate partners and individual donors, building a strong pipeline through targeted outreach, networking and personal engagement.
- Creating impactful partnerships. Understand what matters to each donor and develop compelling proposals that connect their philanthropic objectives, CSR commitments and social impact priorities with UFB’s mission and the projects it supports.
- Strengthening existing relationships. Build trust, maintain regular contact and help donors see the concrete difference their contribution makes, encouraging continued and increased support.
- Bringing people together. Develop fundraising events and engagement initiatives that attract new supporters and deepen existing partnerships.
- Shaping UFB’s future. Develop and implement a focused fundraising strategy and present recommendations to the Board on UFB’s services, operating model and long‑term sustainability.
- Taking financial ownership. Oversee the financial management of UFB’s activities, prepare the annual income and expenditure budget, and present it to the Board for approval.
You will be a member of, and accountable to, UFB’s Board of Directors. Your contribution will combine strategic insight with the practical drive to turn ideas into action.
- A mission you can feel connected to. The partnerships you develop will help local associations deliver concrete projects for people who need support.
- The opportunity to shape what comes next. Working directly with the Board, you will contribute to UFB’s strategy and future development, with room to bring ideas and turn them into action.
- A trusted foundation to build on. You will represent an organisation with more than five decades of experience, strong governance and a clear commitment to local social impact.
- Ownership and meaningful responsibility. You will guide fundraising relationships from the first introduction to long‑term partnership, seeing the contribution of your work along the way.
- A part‑time position at 50%. A substantial role combining business development, relationship management and strategic contribution, with an intended start before the end of 2026.
Ready to put your experience and relationship‑building skills behind a meaningful mission? We would love to hear from you.
