As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our teams and work on client projects located in Herstal. You take ownership of the engineering and and produces the design, the drawings and the dimensioning of the products.
As a Mechanical Designer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies of precision-mechanics scale
- Produce the drawing package: dimensioning, tolerancing, materials and surface treatments, to the office conventions
- Maintain and update the product definition file on products already in service
- Work with the mechanical engineers on the definition and iterate on their architecture and calculation inputs
- Design tooling and jigs as the production rate grows
- Handle drawings and revisions in the PLM, and discuss manufacturability with machinists, production and suppliers
Your profile
- Bachelor or graduate-level qualification in mechanical design, drawing or precision mechanics
- Around 3 years of experience designing precision-mechanics parts
- A rigorous background: aerospace, defence, medical or precision mechanics
- Solid command of dimensioning and drawing conventions: tolerancing, GD&T, fits, surface treatments
- PTC CREO — or another strong CAD tool (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, Inventor) with the willingness to follow a CREO training that we organise before your start
- French B1/B2 minimum and English B1 minimum
- EU nationality, required by our client for this defence programme
