Brussel Hoofdstad, Belgique HumanInTech Temps plein 111 000 € - 166 000 € Contrat

What you will do

You will support the Data Protection Officer of a Belgian public-sector organisation by conducting a thorough security audit of the network and infrastructure architecture. Working with complete autonomy, you will deliver three key outputs:

  • Infrastructure and network analysis: produce a complete mapping of physical and logical interconnections (corporate network, VPN, shared public-sector networks, public access points) and identify segmentation weaknesses
  • Functional security analysis: model the security of data flows and access management, objectively assess the exposure level of application data, and analyse logging and monitoring policies
  • Remediation action plan: draft a prioritised technical roadmap enabling the organisation to implement a remediation plan

The organisation relies on shared network infrastructures within the public sector and has undergone significant digital transformation since 2018, including a digital workplace and external platforms. Your audit will map technical compliance and risks in this complex, multi-tenant environment.

What we are looking for

  • Expert-level audit experience: proven track record as an IT security auditor, with demonstrable examples of previous audit work
  • Network security and architecture expertise: solid experience with routing, switching, firewalling, remote access (VPN IPsec/SSL) and segmented network architectures
  • Vulnerability analysis: ability to audit complex multi-tenant environments and trace unauthorised access paths
  • Data governance: demonstrated sensitivity to data flow security and GDPR compliance requirements
  • Public-sector IT knowledge: practical understanding of public-sector IT environments, including familiarity with shared Belgian public-sector platforms
  • Investigative mindset: rigorous investigative approach with the ability to proactively gather information from multiple stakeholders
  • Business impact translation: skill in translating network vulnerabilities into business risks and concrete impacts for the Data Protection Officer
  • Documentation expertise: expert-level ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation
  • Experience in large organisations: expert-level experience working within large, complex organisational structures
  • Business process skills: confirmed experience with business process management, modelling (BPMN) and re-engineering
  • Enterprise architecture: confirmed experience in enterprise architecture
  • Native-level French: all work and deliverables will be in French

You will need to provide a one-page methodological note explaining your approach to delivering all diagrams and analyses within the timeframe.
