Ghent University is seeking a PhD or postdoctoral researcher to design a focused ultrasound (FUS) system for spatially selective vagus nerve activation. The work covers non-invasive transcutaneous and minimally invasive approaches, with emphasis on simulations and experimental validation.
The goal is to produce a comprehensive set of requirements for a (pre)clinical FUS system for VNS, enabling a future hardware prototype and clinical translation.
