Head of Casino

pawaTech is looking for a Head of Casino to lead the strategy, performance, and development of our casino vertical. As part of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the casino product roadmap, optimising player experience, driving commercial performance, and scaling the casino offering across multiple African markets.

This role combines casino product strategy and operational leadership, with a strong focus on player experience, engagement, and performance. You will work cross-functionally with product, UX, engineering, CRM, marketing, and commercial teams to evolve the casino offering and optimise its impact across multiple markets.

Compensation range: €120.000 full contractual yearly pay

What you’ll be doing:

• Own the overall casino strategy, product direction, and commercial performance;
• Define and drive the casino product roadmap in collaboration with UX and engineering teams;
• Optimise the casino experience, including lobby structure, game discovery, navigation, and player journeys;
• Analyse player behaviour and develop segmentation strategies;
• Drive engagement, retention, and revenue through data-driven product and operational decisions;
• Oversee casino operations while maintaining a strong focus on product and user experience;
• Manage and develop the casino team across product and operational functions;
• Define and execute promotional strategies, including bonuses, cashback, and targeted campaigns;
• Manage relationships with aggregators and game providers;
• Oversee and optimise the casino portfolio, selecting the right mix of games based on performance and player behaviour;
• Identify opportunities for bespoke, exclusive, and in-house content, including crash and tailored games;
• Work closely with CRM, growth, and analytics teams to improve player lifecycle value;
• Explore future opportunities, including crypto integrations and alternative payment experiences;
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the iGaming space.

• Significant experience in senior casino leadership roles within iGaming;
• Strong understanding of casino product management, operations, and commercial performance;
• Experience managing and growing casino performance through data-driven product and operational decisions;
• Deep understanding of casino UX, lobby management, game positioning, and player behaviour;
• Experience working with aggregators, game providers, and large game portfolios;
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive product and operational decisions;
• Experience building or scaling casino products in competitive markets;
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, UX, CRM, and commercial teams;
• Experience with sportsbook-to-casino cross-sell strategies.
• Experience within African or other emerging markets;
• Exposure to crypto or alternative payment ecosystems;
• Experience with crash games, bespoke content, or in-house game development;
• Familiarity with AI tools, automation, or low-code workflows.
