We are looking for an experienced Progress developer. As a Progress OpenEdge Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining, modernizing and extending our business-critical applications. You work in a hybrid environment combining classic ABL development with modern API-driven architectures (PASOE) and will collaborate with analysts, project managers and end users in a team of other Progress experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications in ABL (Advanced Business Language)
- Design and optimize database access (OpenEdge DB)
- Build and expose APIs via OpenEdge Studio
- Analyze and improve performance (queries, locking, transactions)
- Integrate with internal and external systems
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge / ABL
- Solid understanding of:
- Temp‑tables, datasets, buffers
- Transactions and locking (NO-LOCK, SHARE-LOCK, EXCLUSIVE-LOCK)
- Experience with OpenEdge database design and performance tuning
- Knowledge of APIs
- Experience with PASOE (Progress Application Server)

- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across IT teams
