Payroll Officer
As Payroll Officer within the Compensation & Benefits team, you are the privileged interlocutor of Elia employees with regard to the personnel administration in the broad sense of the word.
Responsibilities
- Take care of personnel administration for active and non-active staff members of the Elia group, keeping track of social documents, calculating holiday pay and entitlements, managing personnel data, processing contract changes, etc.
- Work closely with Elia’s social secretariat and manage assigned files in their entirety.
- Answer and follow up employee questions about payroll, social documents, holidays, etc.
- Prepare the monthly salary calculation and conduct salary processing checks, ensuring correct salary payment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of payroll experience and solid knowledge of social legislation.
- Fluency in at least one national language (French or Dutch) as a native speaker; proficiency in the other language preferred or strong willingness to learn.
- Client‑focused mindset, clear and friendly communication.
- Team player, positive team spirit.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, diligent.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, comfortable working with numbers.
