inkontru.app is an online arts and culture calendar that helps people discover events and experiences happening around them.

Following the successful development and launch of inkontru.app in Malta, we are now beginning to expand the platform into new European territories, including Brussels.

We are looking for a Brussels-based City Coordinator to help us establish the platform within the local cultural scene.

The Role

The City Coordinator will act as inkontru.app's local point of contact in Brussels, helping our small team in Malta understand and connect with the city's cultural ecosystem.

Working closely with the inkontru.app team, you will identify and approach cultural organisations, venues and event organisers and introduce them to the platform.

The role is particularly suited to someone who is already familiar with Brussels' arts and culture scene and has an existing network of contacts within the sector.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify relevant cultural organisations, venues, festivals and event organisers in Brussels.
  • Introduce them to inkontru.app and explain how the platform works.
  • Build relationships with local cultural organisations, tourism boards and media platfroms to encourage them to add their events to the platform.
  • Help organisations get started with their inkontru.app accounts and event listings.
  • Keep in regular contact with the inkontru.app team in Malta and provide feedback on the local cultural scene.
  • Help identify opportunities for inkontru.app to become more visible within Brussels' cultural and tourism networks.
  • Share feedback from local organisations to help us understand what works and what may need to be adapted for the Brussels market.
  • Develop and execute city-specific digital marketing strategies

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is based in Brussels and has a good understanding of the local arts and culture scene.
  • Has existing contacts or connections within cultural organisations, venues, festivals or related sectors.
  • Is confident approaching people and building professional relationships.
  • Is enthusiastic about arts, culture and events.
  • Can communicate clearly in English and the relevant local language(s).
  • Is organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
  • Is interested in helping develop a new cultural platform in Brussels from the ground up.

Previous experience in cultural marketing, events, communications, arts administration or a related field would be an advantage.

What We Provide

The Inkontru.app team will provide:

  • Full introduction to the platform and how it works.
  • Training on the Inkontru.app backend.
  • Presentation and promotional materials.
  • Guidance on approaching and onboarding cultural organisations.
  • Ongoing support from the team in Malta.

This is a fee-based freelance role, with a fee payable for each tenant successfully onboarded to the platform. The initial engagement will focus on onboarding up to six tenants.

This is an opportunity to help shape how inkontru.app develops within Brussels and to become an important local link between the platform and the city's cultural community.
