Derwentside College is one of the top performing colleges in the region for its learner and employer satisfaction. We are an ambitious organisation and as a large provider of apprenticeships we are leading the way in delivering a range of outstanding services to learners and employers.

Derwentside College’s King’s Trust Team Programme makes a real difference to the lives of young people aged 16–25 across County Durham and Gateshead. Through an exciting and varied programme of activities, participants are supported to build confidence, develop communication and teamwork skills, strengthen their resilience and leadership abilities, and gain the practical employability skills they need to take their next steps into employment, education or further training.

No two weeks on the Team Programme are the same. From residential experiences and community projects to work placements, personal development activities and employer engagement, the programme gives young people the opportunity to challenge themselves, discover their potential and make a positive contribution to their local communities.

As our King’s Trust provision continues to grow, we are looking for a passionate, motivated and talented individual to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has the experience, enthusiasm and drive to inspire young people, help them overcome barriers and play an important role in supporting them to achieve their goals and build a positive future.
