Foreman mechanic

Do you have a passion for heavy machinery and hands-on technical work? Do you enjoy troubleshooting, repairing and preparing construction equipment while supporting the day-to-day coordination of workshop activities?

As a Foreman Mechanic, you will play a key role in supporting EUCUP production activities through machine assembly, troubleshooting, repair and inspection of Hyundai and Develon construction equipment. In addition to your hands-on technical responsibilities, you will help coordinate the daily activities of a small team of mechanics and support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality work.

What will you do?

Production Support

• Support production activities for excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts and other construction equipment
• Perform machine assembly, disassembly and modification work for troubleshooting purposes
• Conduct machine inspections and functional checks
• Support machine preparation and customer customisation projects
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with quality and safety standards

Technical Troubleshooting & Repair

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues on construction equipment
• Identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions
• Support machine testing, commissioning and validation activities
• Create technical reports and troubleshooting guidelines
• Contribute to continuous improvement through effective problem-solving

Technical Support & Coordination

• Support and guide Aertssen technicians during production activities
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues
• Coordinate and prioritise daily work activities for a small team of mechanics
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of assigned work
• Ensure a high standard of workmanship and technical quality

Quality & Machine Inspection

• Perform sample inspections of completed machines
• Report quality findings and support follow-up actions
• Verify machine readiness before delivery, testing or commissioning
• Support initiatives to improve product quality and production efficiency

What are we looking for?

• Experience in Heavy Equipment, Automotive, Agricultural Machinery or Industrial Maintenance
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Basic knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical Systems
• Experience coordinating or guiding technicians is an advantage
• Ability to organise, prioritise and follow up daily workshop activities
• Construction Equipment Operator Licence is an advantage
• Good command of English
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Team player with a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement
