Large organisations rarely fail for want of projects. They fail because nobody can say, on any given Tuesday, which projects are real, which are stuck, and what the money is doing. This role exists to fix that for a headquarters portfolio in Brussels.

It is end-to-end portfolio management assistance: governance, intake and prioritisation, roadmaps, resource visibility, risk, tooling and reporting. The standard is high and unglamorous - a single source of truth that survives being challenged in a governance board.

What you would be doing

  • Run the portfolio governance cycle: prepare, coordinate and follow up governance meetings, and hold the process to its own standards.
  • Support project intake, evaluation and prioritisation, and maintain the pipeline and portfolio roadmaps.
  • Keep portfolio data complete, accurate and current - the single source of truth the reporting rests on.
  • Produce decision-oriented reporting for leadership: monthly reports, dashboards and the analysis behind them.
  • Maintain risk, issue and dependency registers, and chase them to closure.
  • Give visibility on resource capacity and demand, and improve the process as you go.

What you would bring

  • A degree in business, management, finance, computer science or a related field.
  • Two to five years in project coordination, a PMO, portfolio support or governance.
  • Strong analytical and data-handling skills, with advanced spreadsheet work and confident presentation.
  • Familiarity with portfolio tooling - MS Project, Planview, Clarity or Jira.
  • Understanding of waterfall, agile and hybrid delivery.
  • A record of catching the discrepancy before the report leaves the building.

Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, PfMP, an agile qualification or CGEIT is welcome. The work is on site in Brussels.
