CE Driver – 4-Shift System – Ghent Region

For a major industrial company active in recycling and circular raw material management, we are looking for an experienced CE Driver for a long-term project in the Ghent region.

You will work on a large industrial site where heavy equipment is used on a daily basis. As a CE Driver, your main responsibility will be the internal transportation of materials using a Terberg vehicle. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to operate other vehicles and machinery, including cranes.

What will you be doing?

As a CE Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out internal transportation activities safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities include:

• Carrying out internal transport using a Terberg vehicle.
• Transporting scrap metal and other materials between different areas of the site.
• Safely manoeuvring heavy vehicles in a challenging industrial environment.
• Learning how to operate different types of vehicles and machinery.
• Receiving training to load vehicles and materials using a crane.
• Performing the necessary checks on your vehicle before and during operation.
• Reporting technical defects or unsafe situations.
• Strictly following all traffic and safety regulations applicable on site.
• Working closely with other drivers, operators and maintenance technicians.

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a valid CE driving licence.
• You have previous experience as a CE Driver and are comfortable operating large vehicles.
• Experience with a Terberg vehicle, terminal tractor, crane, dumper truck or other heavy equipment is an advantage.
• You are willing to learn how to operate additional vehicles and machinery.
• You have a strong sense of safety and responsibility.
• You are willing to work in a continuous 4-shift system.
• You are flexible and enjoy working as part of a team.
• You speak Dutch or are willing to learn and improve your Dutch.

4-shift system

You will work in a continuous 4-shift rotation according to a fixed 7/2-7/2-7/3 schedule:

Early shift: 06:00-14:00
7 days working - 2 days off

Late shift: 14:00-22:00
7 days working - 2 days off

Night shift: 22:00-06:00
7 days working - 3 days off

After this, the rotation starts again.
