About the Team

The AI Transformation Team operates as an internal innovation hub, helping teams across the organization explore, test, and adopt AI solutions.

We believe the future will not be built by one technology, one department, or a handful of experts. It will be shaped through collaboration between business teams, technology teams, partners, and curious individuals willing to experiment and learn together.

Our role is to help spark that journey, build practical solutions, and create momentum across the organization.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an AI Innovation Engineer to join our team and work directly with the Director of AI.

This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technology, innovation, business transformation, and experimentation.

You will help identify opportunities, build prototypes, test emerging technologies, support users, and contribute to shaping how AI is adopted across deSter.

Some projects may focus on AI agents, copilots, automation, and knowledge management. Others may explore emerging technologies such as autonomous systems, robotics, and humanoid applications that could influence the future of work.

No two weeks will look exactly the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build AI prototypes and proof-of-concepts
• Explore new AI tools, platforms, and technologies
• Work with business teams to identify opportunities and challenges
• Translate ideas into practical experiments and solutions
• Support workshops, testing activities, and user feedback sessions
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners
• Contribute to discussions around architecture, integrations, cloud platforms, and deployment approaches
• Investigate emerging developments in AI, automation, robotics, and humanoid technologies
• Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization

Skills & Experience

We are more interested in mindset, curiosity, and learning agility than in a specific number of years of experience.

Experience or familiarity with several of the following areas is desirable:

• Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models
• Python or scripting languages
• APIs and system integrations
• GitHub and version control
• Cloud platforms such as Azure
• Databases and SQL fundamentals
• Workflow automation
• Microsoft 365 and Copilot technologies
• Data analysis and visualization

You are not expected to be an expert in all of these areas.
