With continued growth and investment across its operations, the organization is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced and business-oriented Business Controller.

The Role

As Business Controller, you act as the financial business partner for one of the group's key production sites. You work at the intersection of finance and operations, translating data into actionable insights that support performance, efficiency, and sustainable growth.

This is a highly visible role where you will collaborate closely with plant management, supply chain, operations, and finance stakeholders. Beyond reporting and analysis, you are expected to challenge the business, identify improvement opportunities, and actively contribute to decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Performance Management

  • Support operational and strategic decision-making through financial analysis and insights
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial scenario analyses
  • Monitor business performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Analyze profitability, cost structures, operational efficiencies, and key performance indicators

Operations & Supply Chain Controlling

  • Partner closely with plant management and operational stakeholders
  • Provide visibility on inventory, production performance, efficiencies, and waste
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Translate operational performance into clear financial impact

Investment & Strategic Projects

  • Build and challenge business cases and investment proposals
  • Evaluate capital expenditure projects and monitor their performance
  • Contribute to long-term value creation and operational excellence initiatives

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Coordinate and support monthly closing activities
  • Ensure accurate management reporting and performance tracking
  • Drive improvements in reporting, business intelligence, and data quality
  • Contribute to further digitalization and AI-driven finance processes

Who You Are

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in Business Controlling, FP&A, or a similar finance role
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic and hands-on mindset
  • Comfortable operating in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations-driven environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Curious, proactive, and continuously looking for improvement opportunities
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
