Only applicants who currently hold an active NATO Secret security clearance and are able to work 100% on-site at NATO Headquarters in Brussels will be considered for this position.

NV5 Geospatial (NV5G) is actively recruiting a BIM Modeler to support the management and development of architectural and interiors documentation for NATO Headquarters in Brussels. The BIM Modeler will be responsible for maintaining accurate as-built CAD and BIM records, creating drawing packages and schedules, supporting information management processes, and helping advance the digitalization of Facility Management operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting and modelling capabilities, experience working with architectural documentation, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. This position is contingent upon contract award and customer approval. Employment is subject to NV5 being awarded the related contract and the successful commencement of work.

Due to the nature of the work and access to classified environments, candidates must hold an active NATO Secret security clearance at the time of application.

Work Environment

  • Full-time position at NATO Headquarters, Brussels
  • Collaborative environment supporting architectural, construction, and facility management programs
  • Primarily on-site with limited telework options when approved
  • No travel required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain architectural and interior BIM models and CAD documentation
  • Create drawings, schedules, and deliverables from BIM models and CAD files
  • Conduct site surveys and verify the accuracy of as-built documentation
  • Maintain and update facility documentation within SharePoint and other information management platforms
  • Support Facility Management teams by ensuring documentation quality and compliance with organizational standards
  • Assist in improving information management workflows and documentation processes
  • Support BIM-based facility digitalization initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate project records

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, Facility Management, Building Services, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience producing BIM and CAD deliverables within architecture, construction, workplace fit-out, or Facility Management environments
  • Active NATO Secret Security Clearance
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated experience creating, modifying, and maintaining BIM models and construction documentation packages
  • Experience producing plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and as-built documentation
  • Experience conducting site surveys and validating record information against existing building conditions
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows and document control practices
  • Upper-intermediate proficiency in English and basic proficiency in the second NATO official language
  • Strong drafting and technical modelling skills

Preferred (In addition to Requirements above)

  • Previous experience supporting NATO, government, defense, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated and security-sensitive environments
  • Experience supporting large or complex commercial, institutional, government, healthcare, transportation, or defense facilities
  • Familiarity with BIM information management and ISO 19650 principles
  • Experience maintaining as-built documentation in operational facilities
  • Understanding of workplace planning, interior architecture, and building operations
  • Familiarity with MEP coordination and multidisciplinary BIM environments
  • Experience using SharePoint or similar document management systems
