Role: Senior Business Analyst – Post-Trade & Settlement

Work arrangement: Hybrid

Experience: 10+ years

Duration: 6 months

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support post-trade and settlement processes within a capital-markets and asset-management environment. You will lead requirements analysis for settlement workflows, matching, confirmations, and exception handling, translating complex business needs into clear functional specifications and process models.

Key responsibilities

Lead requirements-gathering activities for settlement workflows, matching, confirmations, and exception handling.
Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand operational needs, identify gaps, and define effective solutions.
Analyse and document business requirements using use cases, process flows, entity-relationship models, and functional specifications.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for delivery teams.
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and help establish shared understanding of requirements, processes, and expected outcomes.
Support the delivery lifecycle by clarifying requirements and maintaining alignment between business objectives and proposed solutions.

Qualifications and essential skills

10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including substantial work in post-trade, settlement operations, or capital markets.
Strong knowledge of settlement workflows, matching, confirmations, and exception handling.
Experience in capital-markets or asset-management environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead requirements gathering and business analysis activities.
Proficiency in use case modelling, process-flow documentation, entity-relationship modelling, and functional specification writing.
Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to communicate complex business processes clearly to both business and technical audiences.

Work arrangement and location

This is a six-month hybrid assignment based in Brussels, Belgium.
