Mission Context

For one of our clients, a leading player in the energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer to strengthen a team responsible for Risk Management applications.

You will join a dynamic B2B platform within an international and business-critical environment. Working closely with business, IT, and data teams, you will contribute to the design, development, and evolution of mission-critical applications supporting energy operations and risk management processes.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions while mentoring junior developers and promoting technical excellence across the team.

Software Development & Technical Design

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Java applications.
Lead the development of critical software components while ensuring timely delivery.
Design and enhance REST APIs and microservices-based architectures.

Technical Excellence & Quality

Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and development best practices.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues to guarantee application reliability.
Produce and maintain technical documentation while sharing knowledge across the team.
Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth.
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and promote innovation within the team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in an Agile and DevOps environment.

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 7 years of professional experience in Java development.

Technical Skills

Java 11 and/or Java 17
Front-end development (Vue.js preferred)
Responsive HTML5 / CSS3
Agile methodologies (Scrum) and DevOps practices

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Technical leadership and mentoring experience
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach

Languages

Fluent in French or Dutch
Strong professional proficiency in English
