The Opportunity
Our client is an established player at the intersection of Web3 and data infrastructure — building the trusted data layer that decentralised applications and protocols depend on.
They're entering their next phase of growth and are looking for a Chief Technology Officer to own the full technical vision: architecture, engineering organisation, delivery, and the roadmap that takes the platform to the next level.
What You'll Own
- Technology strategy and its alignment with commercial and ecosystem goals
- Leadership, structure, and growth of a distributed engineering organisation
- Architecture across the platform — decentralised infrastructure, data pipelines, scalability, security, and reliability
- Engineering culture: hiring standards, delivery discipline, and technical quality
- Board-level representation of technology — translating technical direction into business terms
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering with full technical ownership
- Deep understanding of Web3 infrastructure — smart contracts, oracles, decentralised protocols, or on-chain data
- Strong background in data-intensive platforms — pipelines, APIs, real-time data delivery at scale
- Track record of scaling distributed engineering teams and delivery processes
- Comfortable operating at board level — clear communicator, commercially aware
- A leader who builds trust quickly and holds a high technical bar without ego
