Job Description

As a Senior Deputy Project Manager, you will join a large-scale industrial transformation project run by a leading industrial group, as part of an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) scale-up initiative moving from pilot to full production scale.

Acting as a true Project Partner alongside the Project Manager, you will help safeguard project performance in terms of cost, schedule, quality and risk.

Your role sits across governance, planning and cross-disciplinary coordination, giving project leadership a reliable, consolidated and forward-looking view of progress — from detailed design all the way through to commissioning.

We're looking for someone with strong technical judgment, solid multi-stakeholder coordination skills, and a structured, field-oriented mindset to help drive this project to a successful completion.

The Role & Responsibilities

Working closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, HSE, operations), your responsibilities will include:

  • Steering detailed design studies in coordination with all technical disciplines
  • Following up on engineering deliverables (drawings, P&IDs, calculation notes, specifications, risk analyses)
  • Coordinating engineering firms, suppliers and internal project teams
  • Ensuring technical consistency across process, utilities, civil works, HVAC, electrical, automation and HSE work packages
  • Embedding HSE, ATEX and regulatory requirements into the studies
  • Contributing to tender packages and consolidating technical specifications
  • Defining technical evaluation criteria and leading technical bid analysis
  • Supporting clarification and negotiation meetings with suppliers and contractors
  • Driving on-site execution, coordinating contractors and monitoring schedule adherence
  • Supervising equipment installation and managing interfaces between work packages
  • Supporting testing, commissioning, punch-list closure and handover to operations
  • Maintaining project dashboards and contributing to governance forums such as steering committees and risk reviews.

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have confirmed experience coordinating industrial projects across design, tendering, technical bid evaluation and execution phases
  • You have a solid understanding of industrial process environments and technical installations
  • You are comfortable reading technical documentation such as P&IDs, layouts, electrical schematics and functional specifications
  • You have a proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including engineering firms, suppliers, contractors and operators
  • You are familiar with HSE regulations in industrial environments; exposure to ATEX or energetics-related contexts is a strong asset
  • You are proficient with project planning and reporting tools such as MS Project and Excel
  • Your English is professional (B2 minimum), enabling smooth technical and contractual exchanges
  • You are structured, autonomous, reactive and comfortable working full time on site
  • You can anticipate risks, manage priorities and resolve technical issues quickly
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, professional or personal, is a genuine plus.

Your Team

You will be part of a project team dedicated to a strategic industrial scale-up initiative, working closely with engineering, procurement, HSE and operations functions to deliver a project that is safe, on time and aligned with the organization's long-term goals.
