What does a Night Receptionist do?

You combine hospitality, a sense of responsibility, and an eye for detail. A snapshot of your tasks:

• Warmly welcoming guests and handling check-ins and check-outs during the night.
• Performing control rounds in and around the hotel to ensure safety and quiet.
• Monitoring who enters and exits the hotel.
• Operating the bar for late-night orders like drinks and small snacks.
• Carrying out minor cleaning tasks in the lobby or helping prepare for the breakfast team.
• Answering phone calls and emails, resolving questions or issues.
• Compiling daily statistical reports (e.g., occupancy rate, average rate, etc.).

In short: at night, you're the host, receptionist, security presence, and trusted figure all in one.

Who are we looking for?

• You meet the requirements for a flexi-job.
• You enjoy working independently but know when to align with colleagues.
• Night and weekend shifts are no problem for you.
• You’re comfortable working independently.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English.
• Experience in hospitality, reception, or security is a plus - especially night shift experience.
• You’re comfortable with computers or learn new systems quickly.

A diploma is less important than your reliability, sense of responsibility, and service-minded attitude.

Gent), with free parking and excellent access for cyclists, e-scooters, and public transportation. We offer our guests a comfortable stay just outside the city center - close to everything Ghent has to offer.

Our location is easy to reach, wherever you’re coming from. The hotel is located at Akkerhage 2B, 9000 Ghent, near exit 9 (U.Z. Gent) of the E17. Coming by car? No worries - park in our spacious free parking lot. Cyclists, e-scooter riders, and speed pedelec users can follow safe, well-built bike paths right to our entrance, where a convenient bike shed awaits. Public transport is also nearby, with tram and bus stops within walking distance and smooth connections via De Lijn.
