Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced In vitro Biopharmaceutics Subject Matter Expert to support the development and characterization of clinical and non-clinical formulations. This role involves designing biorelevant testing strategies and translating experimental data into a mechanistic understanding of drug absorption. The position covers both oral and non-oral dosage forms, combining laboratory experimentation with analytical method development.

  • Design and execute biorelevant testing strategies to support project teams from early development through formulation assessment.
  • Develop and optimize fit-for-purpose analytical methods and innovative biorelevant techniques.
  • Interpret experimental data and provide scientific recommendations to influence cross-functional project decisions.
  • Critically review study designs, analytical methods, data quality, and technical reports.
  • Contribute to the building and application of animal and human PBPK models using experimentally derived inputs.
  • Maintain rigorous standards for quality, laboratory safety, and good documentation practices.
  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • You bring demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical development with a focus on biopharmaceutics.
  • You possess practical expertise in biorelevant in vitro models and formulation-performance assessment.
  • You have experience with analytical techniques including UPLC, UV spectroscopy, and Dissolution testing.
  • You are a proactive professional with strong delivery skills who can work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • You are fluent in English.

Nice to Haves

  • Understanding of gastro-intestinal physiology and oral absorption mechanisms.
  • Experience with PBPK modelling.
  • Knowledge of cell culture, specifically cell-on-chips or organ-on-chips.
