Our client, a prominent organization in the Belgian insurance sector, is looking for an expert to lead the operational readiness for a large-scale migration project. This role focuses on converting migration and system changes into executable processes and trained teams to ensure a stable transition to business-as-usual operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end impact and gap assessments across operations, finance, and IT to define target operating models and RACI structures.
  • Develop and maintain detailed readiness plans, including milestones, dependencies, and governance for each migration wave.
  • Translate migration requirements into executable processes and controls that preserve policy terms and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the operational runbook and coordinate cutover activities, including business continuity and manual workaround plans.
  • Oversee training needs analysis and knowledge transfer to ensure organizational competency and adoption.
  • Drive post-go-live hypercare, support incident triage, and manage the stabilization phase until final handover.

Requirements

  • You bring 8+ years of experience in project management within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • You possess 3+ years of experience leading operational readiness, transformation, or migration delivery.
  • You have deep expertise in Belgian life insurance operations, including policy administration and broker servicing.
  • You possess strong knowledge of life insurance products, specifically Classic Life and Unit-Linked portfolios.
  • You have proven experience with portfolio migrations, cutover management, hypercare, and business continuity.
  • You’re proficient in designing operating models, RACI frameworks, and capacity plans.
  • You bring advanced skills in MS Project, Azure DevOps, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills with experience in executive communication and workshop facilitation.
  • You are fluent in English with professional working proficiency in Dutch or French.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of Solvency II, IDD, GDPR, and AML/sanctions regulations.
  • Experience with regulatory and legal reporting for the Belgian insurance market.
