We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our specialized business division delivering secure population identification, biometrics, and government document solutions.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of systems that governments and institutions depend on for identity verification and document issuance.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks across complex, security-critical systems — from biometric matching pipelines to document issuance workflows and backend data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Playwright for web-based applications and administrative platforms
  • Write and maintain BDD-style test scenarios using Cucumber, collaborating with business analysts and QA to keep specifications aligned with functional requirements
  • Build and execute test cases validating data integrity and business logic against PostgreSQL databases, including complex queries for backend verification
  • Develop and maintain automated regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites for identity, biometric, and document-related workflows
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and fast, reliable release cycles
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional discussions within an Agile/Scrum environment

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in test automation or QA engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated UI testing
  • Practical experience with Playwright for modern web application testing
  • Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including writing SQL queries for data validation
  • Familiarity with Cucumber and Gherkin syntax for behavior-driven testing
  • Experience with at least one programming language commonly used in test automation (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python)
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management
  • Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

What They Offer:

  • The opportunity to work on mission-critical systems with real-world national and international impact
  • Salary between €65,000 - €85,000 (D.O.E)
  • Company car
  • Insurances
  • Cool office space in Brussels
  • A collaborative, technically skilled team working at the intersection of security, identity, and public infrastructure
