Site Supervisor – Racking Assembly (Contract) | Belgium
We're supporting a leading provider of warehouse automation and storage solutions on a major greenfield storage facility project in Belgium and are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the assembly of a large-scale clad-rack structure.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in racking installation, steel structures, or industrial construction supervision who enjoys working in a hands‑on site leadership role.
The Project
- Large-scale clad-rack construction project for a new storage facility
- Site construction commencing in December
- Racking assembly phase running through to approximately August/September
- Approximately 350 tonnes of steel to be assembled
- Established site with foundations complete and slab prepared
- Dedicated Project Manager in place to support overall delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the racking assembly subcontractor team (circa 30–40 personnel)
- Drive site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Monitor installation quality and adherence to project specifications
- Utilise planning and tracking software to manage activities and report issues
- Identify and record non-conforming or incorrectly manufactured componentsInterpret survey data and verify installation tolerances
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure all site documentation and certifications are compliant
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders to keep site activities running smoothly
- Racking assembly projects, or
- Strong understanding of site coordination and construction sequencing
- Experience using planning, reporting, or project tracking software
- Ability to read and interpret surveys, measurements, and tolerance reports
- Valid VCA certification or equivalent European site safety qualification
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience on automated warehouse, logistics, or intralogistics projects
Long-term contract running through the major construction phase of the project.
