Our sustainability strategy has now taken clear shape, with concrete targets and measurable objectives. The next step is to firmly support these targets with data and reliably track progress across all departments within WAOW and throughout all our festival editions.
That is why we are looking for a freelancer to help us collect, analyse and report our impact data on CO₂, water, energy and more in a smarter way. You will optimise our datasets, build a uniform system for internal data collection and further professionalise our sustainability dashboard. In doing so, you will ensure that our impact is measurable, data-driven and ready for the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Map, structure and optimise our existing datasets related to CO₂, water, energy and other impact areas. You can already find our targets in our sustainability journey.
- Develop a system to collect data internally in a faster, more uniform and efficient way across all departments.
- Improve the efficiency of our data reporting, including through the smart use of AI tools and automation.
- Support our strategic targets with data and figures, and make them measurable through clear KPIs, baselines and methodologies.
- Formulate recommendations regarding new data: which data points are missing, which are redundant and where opportunities exist.
- Further professionalise our sustainability dashboard into a reliable tool for monitoring, reporting and defining future projects.
MUST-HAVES:
- You have experience with data analysis and are highly proficient in Excel.
- You are comfortable using AI tools critically and effectively to accelerate processes.
- You think in systems and build solutions that continue to work even when you are not involved.
- You can translate numbers into clear insights, including for colleagues without a data background.
- You work independently, in a structured manner and with great attention to detail.
- You have a genuine interest in sustainability and impact measurement.
- You communicate openly and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- You are available for 2 to 4 days per month. During the start-up phase, the assignment will be more intensive in order to establish our datasets and systems on a solid foundation.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- You have knowledge of sustainability legislation, such as CSRD/ESRS, the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive and PPWR, and understand the related data requirements and reporting obligations. This ensures our systems are future-proof from the outset.
- If you do not yet have this knowledge, you are willing to develop it.
