You've spent years making sure the numbers close on time, the VAT declarations reconcile, and the auditors walk away with nothing to flag. But when was the last time you actually owned the whole process, instead of just executing your piece of it? Are you organized enough to run statutory reporting end to end, and confident enough to sit across from the workers council when it matters? Here, that's exactly what the role demands.

This organization is an international food group with a production site in Brussels. The local finance team works closely with international reporting standards, with room for someone to help shape how processes evolve. You are part of the country finance team, with limited travel.

Your impact as Accountant

• Full ownership of the statutory account process and the workers council, managing deadlines proactively
• Daily accounting and reconciliation of balance sheet items and general ledger accounts
• Monthly and yearly closing, with clear reporting to the group
• Monthly VAT and intrastat declarations, plus preparation of the corporate income tax declaration
• Leading process improvements and new tool implementations within the finance team

You're the person who keeps an audit sheet clean, not by luck, but by owning the process end to end.

Your profile as Accountant

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• More than 5 years of relevant experience in accounting
• Fluent in English, French or Dutch
