Role Description
TSL is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to support our growing team in Belgium. As part of both the regional and global HR team, this role will provide comprehensive administrative support across all HR functions, playing a critical part in building scalable HR operations for our startup-phase business in the EU.
You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, maintaining employee records, assisting in recruitment coordination, onboarding/offboarding processes, and supporting HR compliance across multiple countries.
This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and is eager to contribute to the development of a best-in-class HR function.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team for Belgium.
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process, including employment contracts, welcome packs, system access, and exit formalities.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation.
- Assist with benefits administration, time and attendance tracking, and absence management.
- Support payroll preparation by collecting relevant employee data and coordinating with internal finance/payroll teams and external payroll providers.
- Ensure HR documentation is complete and compliant with Belgian, and EU labor laws.
- Provide administrative support in the recruitment process, including interview scheduling, reference checks, and coordination with agencies.
- Assist with internal communications and HR initiatives, including employee engagement and training coordination.
- Prepare regular HR reports and analytics as required by the regional or global HR teams.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Handle general employee queries and direct complex issues to the appropriate HR team members.
- Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and the development of scalable HR systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1+ years of HR administrative experience, preferably in an international or multi country context. Understanding of Belgian labor law is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills in English and French (Dutch is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and team player with a strong service-oriented mindset.
- Driver’s License.
- Right to work in Belgium.
