Mission Overview:

The consultant will join Keystone Solutions as an IT Techlead Developer, working on-site at the client within a multidisciplinary Agile Scrum squad in the Invest environment. This consultancy mission involves developing and maintaining backend applications and integrations supporting investment-related customer journeys.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the squad’s hands‑on Technical Lead and technical reference point.
  • Set and communicate a coherent technical direction for the squad.
  • Facilitate technical design and collective decisions across the development team.
  • Ensure alignment with architecture, security and operational expectations.
  • Establish consistent practices for clean code, peer review, automated testing, documentation, observability and production readiness.
  • Identify dependencies, technical risks and technical debt early, and drive pragmatic follow‑up.
  • Support production incident analysis and convert lessons learned into improvements.
  • Coach developers, encourage knowledge sharing and strengthen shared ownership.
  • Contribute directly to complex implementation work while retaining squad‑wide technical oversight.
  • Maintain a forward‑looking view of application maintainability, stability and technical evolution.

Agile Requirements:

  • Work effectively in a multidisciplinary Agile Scrum squad.
  • Support sprint delivery without losing sight of solution quality and longer‑term needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owner, Scrum Master, analysts, testers, architects, operations and other delivery teams.
  • Make technical topics, choices and risks visible to the squad.
  • Promote shared ownership, knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
  • Challenge priorities or solutions constructively when quality, security, stability or maintainability is at risk.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in senior hands‑on software engineering within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Deep backend expertise with proven technical leadership.
  • Ability to guide experienced developers while contributing to the codebase.

Technical Experience (Mandatory):

  • Strong hands‑on Java development experience, including Java 8.
  • Strong experience with Spring 4 and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with backend applications, REST APIs and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Kafka and Flink.
  • Experience with SQL and Java database access.
  • Experience with Maven, Jenkins and Git.
  • Experience with automated testing using JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin and WireMock.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, middleware, infrastructure dependencies and operational constraints.
  • Working knowledge of secure development practices, code quality and production support.
  • Ability to guide technical design, code review, testing and release readiness across a team.

Technical Experience (Preferable):

  • Experience with Lombok, HttpEntity/ResponseEntity, Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipelines, IntelliJ and Octane.
  • Experience integrating distributed, mainframe and infrastructure components.
  • Experience improving observability, performance, resilience or production stability.

Business Experience (Mandatory):

  • Experience as a Technical Lead or technical reference in an Agile software delivery team.
  • Experience coordinating technical decisions across developers and with architecture, security and operations.
  • Experience managing dependencies and delivery risks in a complex application landscape.
  • Experience improving engineering practices while delivery is under pressure.
  • Experience in a controlled enterprise environment.

Business Experience (Preferable):

  • Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of the Invest domain or investment‑related digital solutions.
  • Practical Scrum experience.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong technical credibility and sound judgement.
  • Clear communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Able to align and influence experienced developers without hierarchical authority.
  • Pragmatic when balancing engineering quality, delivery constraints and business priorities.

Assignment Focus:

  • Provide squad‑wide technical direction rather than owning one isolated workstream.
  • Keep architecture, security, maintainability, technical debt and production stability visible in delivery decisions.
  • Combine hands‑on contribu
