We are looking for a Contract Logistics Facility Manager to join our team in Geel, Belgium. If you have proven experience and a solid background in the pharma sector, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact within a global logistics Leader.
You will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure remains in excellent condition and that all facilities are clean, safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. You will oversee the day-to-day management of our warehouses and offices, creating a safe and problem-free environment where employees can perform at their best and business operations can run smoothly.
How you create impact
- Ensure warehouses, offices, and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, well-maintained, and fully operational;
- Lead facility management activities, including building maintenance, utilities, and technical infrastructure;
- Manage building permits, operational licenses, and ensure compliance with all local regulations and legal requirements;
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, engineering partners, and external service providers;
- Oversee supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure agreed service levels are consistently met;
- Lead tendering processes, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and select the most suitable suppliers;
- Manage facility budgets, control costs, and support procurement activities in line with business objectives;
- Drive facility projects and continuous improvement initiatives, using KPIs, SLAs, and best practices to enhance efficiency;
- Ensure all facility procedures, guidelines, and work instructions are up to date and fully compliant with QSHE standards;
- Act as the key escalation point for facility-related issues, including emergency response and critical operational support on a 24/7 basis.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in Facility Management within a pharmaceutical environment (mandatory);
- Strong understanding of facility operations, maintenance, engineering systems, and industry best practices;
- Solid technical background with the ability to manage building infrastructure and technical installations;
- Knowledge HVAC equipment and GDP regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization;
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and make data-driven decisions;
- Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, procurement, and supplier management;
- Fluent in English (mandatory), both written and spoken; Dutch at B1 level or higher, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
- Availability to work regular business hours (Monday to Friday), while remaining reachable outside working hours for critical facility-related incidents and emergencies;
- Valid driver's license, with the flexibility to travel between sites when required.
