We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary Data & AI team and contribute to the development of advanced, scalable machine-learning solutions.
You will work on large-scale data projects, developing anomaly detection, risk-scoring and classification models while collaborating closely with data engineers, architects, business analysts and domain experts.
The role combines advanced Data Science, Machine Learning, Azure Databricks and technical leadership, with a strong focus on explainability, data quality, security and responsible AI.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and industrialisation of Machine Learning solutions using Azure Databricks.
- Develop anomaly-detection, risk-scoring and classification models using supervised and unsupervised techniques.
- Translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, architects and domain experts.
- Contribute to data and ML pipelines, feature engineering and solution integration.
- Work with Python, PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
- Define model evaluation approaches focusing on accuracy, explainability and operational value.
- Apply security, privacy, governance and responsible-AI principles.
- Provide technical leadership, establish best practices and coach other team members.
Technical requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or Advanced Analytics.
- Expert knowledge of Python and Machine Learning.
- Strong experience with SQL, Azure Databricks and PySpark.
- Good knowledge of anomaly detection, classification, clustering and risk modelling.
- Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD and MLOps practices.
- Experience with explainable AI, risk scoring and large-scale data processing.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, fraud detection or the public sector is an asset.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
