Freelance Contract: August 2026 – February 2027
Good knowledge of French or Dutch.We are looking for a Junior Data Quality Analyst to join a banking data team in Brussels. In this role, you will help improve the quality, governance and reliability of critical financial and compliance data.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and monitor data quality controls, KPIs and dashboards.
- Identify data quality issues and analyse their root causes and business impact.
- Define and coordinate remediation actions with IT, Operations, Compliance and business stakeholders.
- Support data certification, governance and quality assessment activities.
- Maintain data documentation, definitions, dictionaries and glossaries.
- Contribute to improving data quality processes, standards and best practices.
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant Financial Security data flows and applications.
Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Quality Analysis within banking.
- Good knowledge of KYC, AML and/or Sanctions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a structured, accurate approach.
- Fluent in English; good knowledge of French or Dutch.
- Strong Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with SQL, Python, SAS, Tableau, Business Objects, Collibra or Ab Initio is an advantage.
