Before data can be brought into a platform, somebody has to find it, agree it and write down what was agreed. That is this role: a discovery lead who is equally comfortable running a site survey, chairing a governance session and keeping a clean paper trail.

What you would be doing

  • Leading discovery across roughly 155 internal data source owners — arranging the survey, running the kick-off, gathering what exists at each site and getting the report validated.
  • Facilitating escalation when a site stalls.
  • Preparing the introductory and discovery material that makes those conversations short.
  • Evaluating candidate sources for how applicable and reliable they are, and spotting the ones that would genuinely improve the picture.
  • Representing the programme to stakeholders — presenting, explaining progress and direction, and being the person other organisations recognise.
  • Hosting governance sessions and keeping an unambiguous record of risks, actions, dependencies, decisions, issues and audits, plus the repository of data delivery agreements.

What you would bring

  • Project management or business analysis experience, and time on both the supplier side and the public sector customer side.
  • Prince2 Foundation, or convincing experience of running work packages without it.
  • Care with classified and mission-critical information.
  • Communication and stakeholder skills that work with government bodies, partners and industry.
  • Professional English at full working level.
  • A habit of asking the awkward question early rather than late.

The assignment is on-site near Brussels.
