About The Company
We are working with an innovative Scale-Up within the Fintech domain, who have grown to two offices globally in the last few years, who are looking for an experienced Java Engineer to join their team on a payroll basis
The Role
As a Java Engineer, you’ll join their talented, cross-functional development team working on their innovative fintech platform from architecture to delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the team and other stakeholders.
You’ll spend your time:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining the backend architecture using Java on the backend and .
- Ensuring code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews.
- Contributing to architectural discussions and helping shape the technical direction of the products
About You
You’re a passionate engineer who enjoys solving complex problems with clean, maintainable code. You’re curious, proactive, and eager to grow — not just technically, but into a future Lead Developer.
You’ll bring:
- Solid experience with Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
- Bonus: Experience within C#, Kubernetes and Cloud Development
- A good understanding of modern development practices (CI/CD, containerization, REST APIs, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to coach and support others.
- Availability to work onsite in Ghent twice a week.
