Why DeepTech? DeepTech represents >30% of the XAnge portfolio, led by Partner Guilhem de Vregille and Managing Partner Nicolas Rose. From quantum computing to space infrastructure, from advanced biotech to foundation models — we’ve been early movers, backing companies like Aerospacelab, Ledger, and Gleamer. We’re doubling down on this conviction and looking for an investor with a genuine engineering mindset to identify, evaluate, and champion the next wave of breakthrough European companies.

Sourcing

• Source investment opportunities in DeepTech and AI across Europe
• Conduct proactive deep dives on 3–4 sector themes per year
• Build and maintain a strategic network of dealflow sources (founders, angels, incubators, labs, other funds)

Qualification & Due Diligence

• Analyze and select investment opportunities with a strong technical lens
• Present key opportunities at the weekly Monday meeting
• Lead deep dives alongside a Partner/Principal: entrepreneur meetings, expert due diligence, memo preparation and IC presentation

Deal Making

• Manage the internal investment process end-to-end
• Participate in LOI negotiation, due diligence, audits, legal documentation, and coordination with back/middle office

Portfolio & Exit

• Support portfolio companies: board preparation, reporting, fundraising, recruitment, and business planning
• Contribute to exit processes: deal structuring, legal documentation, and closing

Transversal

• Represent XAnge at startup events and in the media
• Contribute to team-wide initiatives: intern recruitment & training, LP relations, marketing, and Startup Success.

Engineering degree or Master’s (science/tech background valued)2–5 years of experience in VC, startups, Deep tech, or tech consultingGenuine passion for AI and Deep TechnologiesStrong analytical skills and data-driven mindsetEmpathetic listener with integrity and convictionClear, synthetic writing and oral communicationAgile with tools (we love Notion, Airtable, Pipedrive, Zapier)Fluent in English & French — German is a plus
