WearelookingforanexperiencedSiteEngineer-ACSubstationtojoinourclient'smajoroffshoreenergyinfrastructureprojectinVlissingen,Netherlands.
TherolesupportstheconstructionandoutfittingofACsubstationmodulesaspartofthePrincessElisabethIslandproject.TheSiteEngineerwillworkcloselywiththeConstructionManager,Engineeringteam,EPCContractor,inspectors,vendorsandEliaO&Mteamtoensurethesuccessfulexecutionofsiteactivities,withastrongfocusonsafety,qualityandelectromechanicalengineering.
KeyResponsibilities
- SupporttheConstructionManagerinmanagingsiteactivitiesandensuringsafetyandqualityprioritiesaremaintained.
- ActastheSinglePointofContact(SPOC)forengineeringqueries,particularlyrelatedtoelectromechanicaltopics.
- CoordinatewithmultidisciplinaryteamsincludingE&IandMechanicalInspectors,Welding&CoatingInspectors,SafetyInspectors,OutfittingEngineers,DesignEngineersandConstructionManagers.
- Supportcoordinationbetweenthesiteteam,EPCContractorandEliaO&Mteam.
- Taketechnicalownershipofelectromechanicalissuesarisingduringsiteoutfittingandescalatemajorissueswhenrequired.
- ActasatechnicalknowledgecentreforinspectorsandmaintainastrongunderstandingofcontractordocumentationandEmployerRequirements.
- Leadandfollowuponqualitytopics,non-conformitiesandqualityprocesses.
- MaintaininternalsystemsandprocessesformanaginginspectionreportsandensuringeffectivecommunicationwiththeEPCContractorandsiteteam.
- Coordinateandparticipateinsiteinspections.
- Reviewtechnicalandprojectdocumentationsubmittedbythecontractor.
- CoordinateEliavendorsvisitingthesitetogetherwithprojectleadersandtheConstructionManager.
- PrepareweeklyandmonthlyreportsincollaborationwiththeConstructionLead.
- Supportadditionalprojectactivities,includingcost-benefitanalysisoftechnicalvariants.
RequiredQualifications&Experience
MustHave
- EngineeringbackgroundinElectricalEngineeringand/orElectromechanicalEngineering.
- Minimum3yearsofrelevantprofessionalexperience.
- Strongexperienceinsiteengineering,constructionorengineeringprojectenvironments.
- Experienceworkingwithmultidisciplinaryteams.
- Strongunderstandingofsafetyandqualityrequirementsonconstructionsites.
- ExcellentMSOfficeskills,particularlyforpreparingstructuredreportsandmanaginginspectiondocumentation.
- ValidVCAVOL/SCCSupervisorcertificate.
- FluentEnglishcommunicationskills.
