Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager Benelux role based in Maasmechelen. The Account Manager Benelux is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships across the Benelux region, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction. Day-to-day activities include maintaining regular contact with key accounts, handling inquiries and orders, preparing quotations, and following up on deliveries and after-sales service. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, supporting pricing and contract negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams such as logistics, finance, and production to meet customer requirements. The Account Manager Benelux also monitors market trends and competitor activity, provides accurate sales forecasts, and reports on performance to management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in account management or sales, preferably within the food or FMCG industry, with a track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and handle commercial discussions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Analytical skills to interpret sales data, market information, and customer feedback, and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Fluency in at least one Benelux language (e.g., Dutch or French) and strong proficiency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • Comfort with CRM systems, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other relevant digital tools used for sales and customer management.
  • Ability to work on-site in Maasmechelen and travel within the Benelux region as needed to visit customers and attend meetings or events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Customer-focused mindset, proactive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
