Then the position of Accounting Specialist at Miele Belux is your next career step In this position, you are the pivot between the financial processes, the people and the resulting administration. Together with the controllers, shared service centre and external parties, such as our accountants and advisors, you ensure accurate accounting. This not only involves the correct administration of the figures, but also identifying bottlenecks and risks in terms of legislation and regulations. You will be working in a multinational team, with a manager who focuses on your talents and prepares you for a great career within Miele. What you will be doing:
The Accounting Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with group financial policies and local regulatory requirements. The role supports effective financial management through attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to excellence. You are the first point of contact within the Belgium affiliate and the right hand of the Accounting Manager covering the cluster of Belgium/Luxembourg/Netherlands/France.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities for the Belgian entity in collaboration with our global shared services (MGS) teams in Poland.
- Ensure accurate bookings, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations to cost and profit centers.
- Be a key point of contact for external and internal audit matters.
- Support tax and legal compliance processes, including VAT, and other statutory declarations.
- Evaluate internal systems, controls, and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to Belgian and global process optimization projects.
- Support the FP&A team with financial transparency, reporting, and follow-up.
