Jan De Nul stands for sustainable, high-quality, and innovative construction projects from A to Z. This includes an in-house design office. For our Design & Engineering department, we are looking for engineers who develop designs and calculations for our various projects. Due to the constantly growing market, we are searching for a Civil 3D Designer. Together with our team, you will create 3D designs for civil, environmental, and dredging projects in the Benelux region, such as buildings, roadworks, tunnels, canals, major remediation works, etc. For this, we use 3D software such as Civil 3D, Virtual Surveyor, and Cyclone 3DR.

  • Importing bathymetric and topographic data
  • Organizing and keeping project-related data up to date
  • Designing 3D models to estimate quantities and for machine control
  • Preparing volume reports and thematic maps
  • Managing multiple time-sensitive projects and tenders simultaneously

What do you need?

  • Master of Science in Industrial Sciences: Civil Engineering or Geomatics/Surveying
  • Master in Geography and Geomatics; majors in Cartography-GIS and Topography-Hydrography are a plus, as is a minor in Surveying
  • Ability to work independently on projects using relevant drafting software (primarily Civil 3D)
  • Relevant experience is an asset, but driven recent graduates are certainly welcome
  • You work systematically and accurately
  • Any knowledge of the programming language Visual Basic is a plus
  • You are fluent in Dutch with a basic knowledge of French
