Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organisation, is seeking an Intercontinental Medical Project Manager to join their international Medical Affairs team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive project professional looking to build their career within Medical Affairs, working in a highly visible and collaborative role supporting regional medical activities across diverse international markets.
The successful candidate will act as a key coordination point across multiple countries and stakeholders, helping drive operational excellence, medical insights activities, performance tracking, capability development initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across the region.
The Opportunity
This role combines project coordination, stakeholder management, meeting facilitation, and operational support within a dynamic global environment.
Working closely with regional and global colleagues across Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring alignment, accountability, and execution of key Medical Affairs initiatives.
The position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in a highly matrixed international environment and is confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with country representatives to establish, coordinate, and facilitate regional medical insights committees
- Collect, consolidate, and track insights gathered from multiple markets, ensuring effective follow-up and action planning
- Support regional medical performance initiatives through KPI tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring
- Drive adoption and utilisation of digital tools, engagement platforms, and reporting systems
- Manage and maintain internal SharePoint sites, communication channels, and access permissions
- Coordinate logistics for regional medical meetings, congresses, and expert engagement activities
- Support onboarding programmes for new team members joining the Medical Affairs function
- Contribute to capability development initiatives across countries within the region
- Act as a central project coordination point, ensuring actions are tracked, stakeholders remain aligned, and deliverables are completed on schedule
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across regional and global stakeholder groups
About You
- 2+ years' experience in project management, project coordination, programme management, operations, or a similar support function
- Ideally previous experience within Medical Affairs, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or another regulated environment
- Proven ability to coordinate projects across multiple stakeholders and geographies
- Comfortable facilitating meetings, driving discussions, and maintaining accountability for key actions and deliverables
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced international environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting global or regional teams within a matrix organisation
- Exposure to medical insights activities, operational excellence programmes, or performance reporting
- Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Qliksense, ORBIT, SharePoint, or similar systems
- Experience coordinating congresses, events, workshops, or cross-functional initiatives
