Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Belgium is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of HR Assistant - Recruiter in the Human Resources Office.

Supervisory Position: No Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No

The jobholder manages and administers recruitment for the Tri-Mission’s American Family Member Employment Program. In addition, the jobholder is responsible for administering local staff recruitment for all Facilities Management, Warehouse, and Chauffeur positions, and coordinates and manages the Local Internship Program. Works directly with a variety of individuals and offices (Human Resource Officers, Community Liaison Office, hiring managers, Post Employment Committee members, Universities, etc.) to ensure positions are filled in accordance with established recruitment regulations, policies, guidelines.

All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold aSensitive But Unclassified (SBU) certification.

All selected candidates will be subject to a backgroundinvestigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.

Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (15 weeks) upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Requirements:

Two years of full-time college or university studies.

Qualifications

Experience:

At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of Human Resources office with a broad exposure to recruitment and hiring, or training, or local labor law.

Language:

Fluency in English.

Fluency in Dutch or French combined with good working knowledge of the other language.

Job Knowledge:Advance knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, performance management, training, compensation and benefits, and personnel information systems. Must possess a good working knowledge of the local employment laws and customs as it pertains to social security and employment regulations for LE Staff. Advance knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service in a fast paced work environment. This includes meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Advance knowledge of computer hardware and software, including spreadsheets software.
