Duties and responsabilities

As Electrical Engineer you will have an active and challenging role in engineering projects. Your work is diverse.
Main responsibilities include:

  • preparing and ensuring that the relevant members of the project team are following the BIM Execution Plan;
  • development of 3D models for Electrical parts; performing load calculations;
  • preparing bill of quantities;
  • performing cable, short-circuit and power calculations. You draw up power balances and one-line diagrams;
  • you prepare technical specifications (e.g. for Trafo’s, motors, and perform technical bid analysis;
  • Reviewing and preparing various drawings and layouts, including Single Line Diagrams, loop diagrams, Substation.

Equipment layout, Earthing layout, Cable routing layout, and lighting layout.
Efficiency, safety and sustainability are the most important aspects that recur during your work.

Profile

  • You are an industrial engineer in electrical, electromechanics, or automation with min. 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Can work independently to achieve the project requirements.
  • Is a dynamic and flexible person, committed to the project and company goals and open to continuous learning.
  • Be proactive and open for continuous improvement.
  • You have knowledge of relevant electrical legislation (Arei, Atex, minimum electrical requirements,etc.).
  • You are customer-oriented and can quickly identify specific technical needs of the customer.

Education/ competencies

  • Diploma in Electrical / Automation Engineering.
  • Knowledge of and experience with EPLAN, Revit and BIM concepts; MS Office applications is a must. Additional experience with MS Projects is an advantage.
  • You have good knowledge of English, both written and spoken; Dutch, French, German are a bonus.

Salary and benefits

  • Yearly gross salary: > 24000 EUR/netto (depending on experience).
  • Health insurance; Assistance for accomodation (if travelling/relocation needed).
  • Daily allowance (including weekends) for business trips (approx 85 EUR/day).
  • Transport to/from the office; transport for business trips included.
  • Holiday, depending on contract type (min. 22 days). Expected business trips, approx. 25%.
