Overview
SWIFT is a global provider of secure financial messaging services, supporting more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions across 200+ countries.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Deploy changes, patches, and releases in test and production environments.
- Prepare, present, test and execute changes in Production, requiring on‑site presence 3 days per week.
- Perform occasional Production changes outside business hours (± once per month).
- Log, investigate and resolve/escalate operational issues in test and production systems.
- Ensure high availability, data integrity, and security through appropriate controls and validation.
- Maintain and operate a mission‑critical application deployed across multiple data centers, based on micro‑services and synchronous replication.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to contribute to resiliency and capacity improvements.
- Design, maintain, and evolve the DevOps pipeline using technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Ansible, ArgoCD, and others.
- Participate in code and configuration reviews to enforce best practices, resilience, and consistency.
- Promote automation, shift‑left principles, and reliability‑focused engineering.
- Participate in change planning and risk mitigation activities.
- Stay up to date on DevOps tools, SRE practices, modern deployment techniques, and industry trends.
- Suggest improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and operational robustness.
Professional Qualifications
Profile & Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable driving improvements and managing change.
- Customer‑oriented with strong attention to quality and detail.
- Team‑player with an open, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Able to work effectively independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with agile methodologies is an asset.
